Here's your chance to get involved in a movement about the region's energy use.
The New Energy Roundtable, a group of people from civic and energy interests, meets periodically on Friday afternoons at the Peter B. Lewis Building at Case Western Reserve University. The loosely structured group started meeting in February.
The researchers, citizens and business folk who attend are concerned about our climbing energy use and how the national debate is not focused on a long-term solution. They are looking at the here and the now and action-oriented, economic development opportunities. They hope to make CWRU the epicenter of new energy discussion with open discussion.
No one energy source is favored. They like them all, whether it's solar, wind, nuclear or landfill gas.
Meetings are open to anyone. The next one is scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday, May 6. For more information, contact Herb Crowther, hcrowther@capling.com, or Betsey Merkel, 216-368-5540 or bmerkel@weatherhead.cwru.edu.
