"Creating Arts Districts as Economic Development Engines"
Arts Districts are being recognized as important revitalization tools that can energize economic development and improve quality of life. How can we make arts districts within a neighborhood setting work? What lessons are we learning here in Cleveland and the inner ring suburbs that can be applied regionally? What are the recurrent challenges and what collaborative efforts and partnerships are needed to make such projects successful?
Our discussion will delve into the value of creating neighborhood-based arts districts or arts-saturated environments to help reinforce and strengthen the triple-bottom line integral to economic development.
