here are some questions to consider:
Who is being invited to the event - numbers and demographics of people?
Is this the first time most of these people have been together?
What kind of education (info download) are you hoping to provide – through presentations, panel discussions, etc. ?
What kind of participation do you want participants to have?
What exactly do you want participants to know, think, feel, or do as the result of the event?
What kind of follow-up are you planning on doing after the event?
